CTUB Meeting – 5 June | Strengthening collaboration across Clinical Trial Units

  • Post category:News

On 5 June 2026, members of the CTUB network gathered at Institut Jules Bordet (H.U.B) for a productive and interactive meeting. The network now includes 32 Belgian hospitals, reflecting a strong and growing collaborative network across the country.

The day combined knowledge sharing with workshop discussions focused on further strengthening alignment between Clinical Trial Units in Belgium.

Key discussion points included:

  • Enhancing collaboration and communication within the CTUB network
  • Further structuring governance and organisation
  • Launching targeted working groups to drive priority topics

One of the first key priorities is to align CTUB hospitals on a common Clinical Trial Agreement (CTA) template. Building on existing templates (e.g. pharma.be), a harmonised proposal will be developed, discussed with all stakeholders, with the ambition to evolve towards a nationally endorsed framework.

📢 New CTUB Board

We are pleased to announce the newly appointed board:
Chairs: Lieke Seynaeve (AZ Delta) & Heidi Sterckx (UZ Leuven)
Co-Chairs: Katrien Tartaglia (ZOL) & Dominique Van Ophem (UCLouvain)

A general CTUB email address will be created soon. In the meantime, feel free to contact the board members directly for any questions.

💡 Through this initiative and strengthened collaboration, CTUB aims to actively contribute to keeping Belgium an attractive environment for clinical research.
