The International conference on Motor Development and Developmental Coordination Disorders
We are delighted to welcome you to a first of its kind: DCD15-IMDRC6, a joint conference of the International Motor Development Research Consortium and the International Society of Research and Advocacy for Development Coordination Disorder, which will take place 5-8th June in the beautiful, vibrant city of Ghent, Belgium.
With the theme “Thinking outside the box”, this event will bring together scientists and practitioners from different, yet adjacent, (research) fields focusing on the challenges and strengths of motor development, developmental coordination disorder and beyond.
We aim to share knowledge and expertise on (motor) development in children, adolescents, adults and elderly, from a holistic perspective, including motor, cognitive, socio-emotional, educational, health, and environmental perspectives.
We look forward to contributions on typical development, DCD and other neurodevelopmental conditions, and hope to welcome scholars, therapists, psychologists, paediatricians, teachers, movement scientists, families and patients eager to share their knowledge and lived experiences to improve the lives of each developing individual.
